Taylor comes from an insurance family with both her parents and her grandmother working in the insurance business. She comes to us with experience in customer services in all lines of business, providing new policies for clients and specializing in farm insurance.
Taylor grew up in Athens and attended Thousand Islands Secondary School in Brockville and Sir Sandford Fleming College in Peterborough for Post-Secondary.
Taylor is very family-oriented; her mother, brother and she are best friends and love spending time with each other. They enjoy spending their summers at their cottage with her grandmother; they are a very close family!
Fun Fact
Taylor was a competitive figure skater up until she went to post-secondary school! In her spare time, she likes to read and bake.

Olivia has spent over 10 years in customer service-related roles and has recently found her career home in insurance. She comes to us with experience in new business sales as a sales executive in personal lines. She is looking forward to working on the service side to provide the full cycle customer experience. 
Olivia grew up in Halton Hills (Georgetown) until the age of  15 then moved with her family to Athens, Ontario. Her education includes one year at Wilfrid Laurier for Psychology/Criminology and then attended  St. Lawrence College for Social Service Work and graduated with distinction in 2017
She has one cat named Figaro who does not seem to know how to be a cat; he gallops around the house like a horse! She also loves to garden, read, and collect old books. Lately, she and her son started learning how to play the piano.
Fun Fact:
When she was in grade 10, she was part of the school band and was invited to sing at Canada's Wonderland,  an experience that conquered her fear of speaking in public! She is looking forward to working with the incredible team at W.C. Burgess.  

The insurance industry is a highly desired career as it offers stability in employment and career growth.  Marla has been with our office since 2009 and has had a significant event in her career. She received her Unrestricted Licence which is no small feat.  It requires hours of study, which is a personal sacrifice, in-class learning away from home and a written exam.  Marla passed with flying colors! We asked Marla if she could tell us a few words why it was so important for her to receive her unrestricted licence and a fun fact about herself:
“I recently obtained my Unrestricted class of licence. I believe that growing in my knowledge and education as an insurance broker will not only enhance my career but more importantly help me to better serve our clients.  It will also allow me to offer the best advice possible when it comes to insuring their most important assets.
When I am not working, I love to relax with a good book and also enjoy travelling south to a sunny beach with my husband.”
